Data Protection Engineer

~Requirement & Experience:
  • Advanced English
  • Gender: Male / Female
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Business, Information Management, Information Security or a related field
  • 5-8 years relevant work experience, including internship experience
~Indispensable Technical Skills:
  • CISA CISSP  or  CIPP  certification
  • CDP, DP or equivalent certifications preferred
  • Proficient in one of the commonly utilized scripting languages (e.g. Microsoft PowerShell, Puppet, Bash, Ruby, Perl, Python, Groovy)
  • Understanding of  Data Loss Protection (DLP)  concepts and implementation
  • Experience with cyber security data protection tools and technologies
  • Familiarity with data protection regulations
  • Understanding of user behavior and data classification
  • Familiar with  UNIX  and Windows configuration, administration and technical support
  • Engineering experience with developing and managing  APIs,  scripting languages, automation and
  • hands on configuration of the various  cyber security tools
  • Experience with  Cloud Based Protection  and  Security technologies  (e.g. Microsoft Azure or Amazon Web Services)
  • Prior enterprise-level data protection support background
~Responsabilities:
  • Provide operational support & monitoring utilizing Protect/Prevent technologies deployed at the company
  • Create repeatable, successful data protection support procedures
  • Create and maintain scripts or leverage APIs as needed
  • Augment process documentation; eventually sharing knowledge & processes within and external to the core team
  • Leverage cyber security tools to identify improper storage and transmission of sensitive data
  • Provide input for cyber security tool enhancements to improve reporting and detection capabilities
  • Identify and report security related risks and controls gaps
  • Develop and document action plans to mitigate identified risks
  • Work with technical teams to define technical problems, determine solutions and assist in implementing the fix
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams in potentially stressful situations, while providing professional and courteous technical expertise
