The Engineering Development Team at Kueski designs, implements and maintains all the codebase used by both external and internal clients.

About the position:

As a Software Engineer in Test  you will be responsible for planning, designing, coding and executing the automated testing scripts. It is also responsible for design and running (manually) functional tests over all the applications that are developed by the Engineering team.

What will you do:

  • Design and implement automated test cases.
  • Contribute to build a robust, scalable and reusable automation framework.
  • Define test strategies.
  • Implement test plans for features developed in Kueski.
  • Create scenarios based on acceptance criteria.
  • Carry out bug reporting.
  • Collaborate closely with development and product owners.
  • Propose new ideas to improve the QA in Kueski.
  • Contribute to build a robust, scalable and reusable automation framework.
  • Carry out bug reporting.
  • Create, maintain and execute automated test cases.
  • Make decision about how to perform testing.
  • Propose new technologies, methodologies, etc. in order to improve the Quality Assurance in Kueski.
  • Self-directed in QA things.
  • Lead other in QA topics.

You have:  

  • Strong knowledge in testing techniques.
  • Deep knowledge of the test automation process.
  • Knowledge in test scripting.
  • Experience with project and test management tools, and use case tracking.
  • Basic SQL Experience.
  • Experience manual testing (analysis of requirements, creation of test cases, defect tracking).
  • Experience working with agile methodologies (Scrum)
  • Experience working with one or more web testing automation tools like Selenium, QTP, UFT, Watir, etc.
  • Experience working with test automation frameworks i. e. Cucumber, RSpec, Capybara.
  • Working knowledge in OOP languages for instance Ruby, Java, Python, etc.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Strong problem solving skills, adaptable, self learner, proactive, and willing to take ownership.
  • Ability to set and manage internal client expectations and to negotiate appropriate resolutions to issues.
  • Passion to explore new technologies.
  • Resourcefulness.
  • Attention to detail.
  • BS/MS in Computer Science, or equivalent.
  • Experience with security testing. (Desirable)
  • Basic knowledge working with Linux. (Desirable)
  • Experience working with dockerized environments. (Desirable)
  • Web application development experience. (Desirable)
