Software Engineering Manager

Lead an experienced team of software engineers and problem-solvers working to fight cancer through
designing, implementing, testing, and deploying software solutions for Accuray’s premier radiation  therapy systems

Responsibilities
 • Lead and mentor a team of software engineers working on both Data  Management and Treatment Planning software applications in C++
and C#
• Coordinate planning and development activities and assignments with  Senior Software Engineering Managers who lead each application
• Provide resource capacity management planning and actuals to  program management
• Coordinate and manage local administrative duties related to local  GDL partner relationships, staffing, office space and equipment
• Solicit and provide meaningful feedback with the team to grow  strengths and capabilities
• Manage budgetary needs and participate in the budget process for the  GDL team
• Recruit and grow the GDL team through contacts and promotion of  Accuray technologies
• Travel to the US a few times per year is expected

Qualifications 
• Proven experience managing a team of engineers with at least 2 years  of demonstrated success
• 5 or more years of software engineering experience in C++ and/or C# on  Windows server and desktop environments
• Excellent communicator on both a technical level with the engineers  and a project level with stakeholders and executives
• Fluent and English and Spanish
• Demonstrated understanding of development processes and an  interest in driving successful projects through process improvement
• Willingness to perform a broad range of tasks in order to ensure the  success of the development team
• Comfortable working alongside several remote teams around the  world to solve issues and deliver value to our products
• Commitment to collaborative, transparent leadership using  continuous feedback and connecting day-to-day work to the broader  vision of fighting cancer

Nice to Have 
• Experience using other software languages and technologies
• Familiarity with Scaled Agile Framework and other methodologies
• Experience engineering software in a regulated industry
• Knowledge and experience utilizing cloud technologies
