Department Overview

The Service Design Tools & Infrastructure team is a strategic component of Centralized Managed Support Operations (CMSO), responsible for providing exceptional Service Design & innovative technology solutions to enable and empower MSI Centralized Managed Support Operations meet and exceed customer’s expectations

Job Description

Responsible for the planning design  build  configuration and testing of Application Suites to create the  release  package for the delivery of or changes to the designated service. – Manage all aspects of the end to end  release  process.

  • Demonstrated successful delivery of multiple large-scale deployments

  • Experience with technical release management framework

  • Coordinates Release scope based on Sprint work

  • Maintains all documentation within Confluence related to Sprint and Release Management activities.

  • Work with CI/CD tools, and source control

  • Assist Development team in managing versions of release components

  • Configure and release the delivery of software applications in test and production environments

  • Manage code deployments, fixes, updates and related processes

  • Actively troubleshoot any issues that arise during testing and production deployment, catching and solving issues before launch.

  • Perform activities on the release checklist in JIRA

  • Maintain high standards of software quality within the team by establishing good practices and habits

  • Create Deployment Plans with support from DevOps and QA

  • Analyze current technology utilized within the company for release and deployment management and develop steps and processes to improve and expand upon them

  • Automates Release management across environments

  • Manages risks and resolves issues that affect the release scope, schedule, and quality

  • Coordinate release dependencies with all internal teams

  • Plans the releases based on scheduled planned releases as well as impromptu requests based on the business needs

  • Leads the effort on all releases to ensure the releases are delivered on time within budget and with high quality

  • Facilitates Release Readiness including Go / No Meetings and all Exit Criteria

  • Manages the Release Plans and Schedules to ensure alignment with Product Management and Business Teams

  • Recommend process improvements alternative to roll out tools and processes.

The Kind Of Experience You’ll Need

  • 5 + years of Technical Release management experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science

  • Knowledge of Agile approaches – Kanban, Scrum

  • Experience with Devops Tool suite

  • Excellent written skills and verbal communicator

  • Experience working with Scrum and Sprint Teams using Agile Methodologies

  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional team in order to complete critical tasks and project

  • Ability to handle multiple concurrent projects at a fast pace

  • Advanced knowledge of SDLC

  • JIRA and Atlassian suite of tools including Confluence

Basic Requirements
  • Bachelors degree and 4+ years of experience
