Los detalles de la vacante son:

Technical, Business & Role Skills:

  • Deep understanding of Computer Networking and IP
  • Good understanding of DNS and Active Directory
  • Solid understanding of configuration management and change management
  • Understanding of ITIL/ITSM terminology and concepts
  • Good understanding of Wintel and Linux platforms
  • Solid understanding of database concepts and operation
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills
  • Understands importance of accurate documentation. Able to create checklists, work instructions and guidance documents
  • “Can do” attitude
  • Work will be primarily centred around US Central / Eastern timezones. However the project is global in nature and will require some flexibility to accommodate meetings with resources based in other regions. The position also requires evening and weekend work as change windows might be outside of core office hours or on weekends – time off in lieu

Desirable Skills

  • Cisco CCNA certification or equivalent desired but not required
  • ITIL Certification desired but not required
  • Understanding of HPE-ES internal environment
  • Understanding of HPE-ES SRA stack and event management
  • Experience of development and testing

Necessary IT technical experience to provide technical leadership on a large migration project for FQDN renaming of a 50,000 servers. This is required due to the split into two companies – thus requiring a large number of devices to be have their domain name changed. The role involves:

  • Helping to define and fine tune change process and work instructions
  • Understanding end-to-end implications of changes
  • Leading testing of change work instructions
  • Dealing with different internal teams including Network, Firewall, System Administration, BUR, Monitoring, IT Security, Support and others
  • Working with a team of co-ordinators, system administrators and project managers to drive FQDN renaming change requests through submission, approval and execution
  • Troubleshooting technical issues in a collaborative manner
  • Pro-actively working to streamline and improve existing processes
  • Escalating when appropriate to the program manager
